This is an interesting poem with a message behind it that I can't quite decipher--I love the "biography turns into your funeral pyre" part, because I've never quite thought of it that way, but now that you present it this way, it makes sense. This is indeed, the circle of life. Great poem! :D

Thank you very much... that biography line was a surprise to myself when it came out.
Nice touch with the funeral pyre. I love how Morrison immortalized those to words even though it is found in so many other places in literature. Your poem is one of those places:)

This certainly gives new meaning to the circle of life. Not sure what your inspiration is..but I was expecting fire and brimstone to rain....not a miracle. lol

Not sure what my inspiration is either, the Muse is very tight lipped.
~ what a remarkable piece of writing... i know from personal experience how this entire process unravels... i do have the "mouth of a dragon"... haha... and, it just rained... (as of a few months ago)... the re-entry into "the circle of life" in a true sense will happen in a few weeks from now... but it is and has been set in motion...
So much truth in that opening sentence...I have no idea in what context you wrote the words, but to my mind, it reads like a gentle warning to be nice, as it were; don't spew hate, because it will be your own undoing. Then, of course, the hate is already out there, and it gets recirculated as more hate...an unfortunate cycle that we are, essentially, powerless to tame.
Then again, I haven't had lunch yet and I'm feeling a bit light-headed, so...I could be way out in left field on this one :-D

Light headed or not I enjoyed your interpretation of my poem. you are wise and talented.
hi, you're certainly putting perceptions to a test and pushing mental parameters with this one....I like the line, 'unitl your biography turns into a funeral pyre', which kind of enthused me, because biographies are often contructed when life ends, thanks.
The idea that everything we've ever sowed, and everything we ever were ––returning to nourish "mother nature," for the betterment of the earth? ... appeals to me. I know this may have not been your intent, but a Viking like funeral; me and all my belongings set aflame upon a boat... at sunset? I like, that vision. is it legal? :) Thank you for sharing these thoughts, good sir
