Ante Meridiem

Ante Meridiem

A Poem by Gigi
"

Uplifted heart, risen with only the memory of the morning.

"
ante meridiem ante meridiem...
I will always love you,
but mostly when I see em'.
What will you do?

The listlessness of the grass before the sun rises,
the brisk chill of the open air
these are all just the ante meridiem's guises.
I'll try to see it, only bare.

Look into the horizon,
tell me what you see...
is it the morning tide? the first blush?
... mundane colors before thee?

... I see...
everything

you, me, everyone
all that's past
all that's done...

All the wisdom
and ignorance

all the things
i've won
and lost...

The objects
the answers
the health
the cancers

I see
the warm
the cold

the young
the old

your breath... immersed with mine.

ante meridium ante meridium...

... I love you...
