I Do Believe that Our Lips have Met

I Do Believe that Our Lips have Met

A Poem by Gigi
"

Just a little poem made with personification to my lips.

"
Before now my lips were reclusive.
Aspiring for that certain pair of lips that it couldn't find.

Then when my lips were not seeking,
They discovered the most alluring, inviting pair that were so kind.

They had been acquainted for some time before,
But my lips were too disoriented to comprehend...

...The portal to Xanadu that was right alongside them...

My lips were in a state of mind that was crowded and blind.
Then once the brink of you bestowed the gift of  amour onto me.

My lips wanted to find that something that was disgorging out something so kind...

They were looking for that Eden that they couldn't see.

Now my lips linger, desiring the embrace of your lips.
They fervor for the smooth caress, they lust for the epiphany that is evoked, they wish for the captivating euphoria.

Some one asked me, "How do you know that your lips want his?"
I just smiled and looked away, as I replied,
"I know that they want his, because they won't stop talking to me about him."

Gigi
It's not the best poem in the world... >< Kinda sucks. I think that I rush my poetry a little too much now. It could use some tweaking.

I loved where you were going with this poem, it was alluring and intriguing. I have to say that it could have been longer cause it left me wanting a little more, but your last bit was the best it could be the opening to a great novel! :)

Gigi, I loved the way you put that at the end, how your lips won't stop talking to you about him. Our different body parts tell us, without words, how they feel about a certain someone. The eyes, how they look, the nose how they smell, the tongue, how they taste, but the lips, how they kiss, and feel, their whole life experience, every place, and thing they ever went through, can be felt, through that first kiss. If they don't pass that test, then well good luck, with the final exam.

Awesome Gigi!
