"Please don't Leave me."

"Please don't Leave me."

A Screenplay by Gigi
"

One of the ending songs of my Play/Movie, Funny Story She was my Slander. When the man is leaving the small town to become a big star comedian in L.A. (Somewhat sung slowly).

"

*The beginning of this song starts out with the girl looking out of the window sell with tears slowly falling down her cheeks.*

*The boy is sitting down on a seat in the background, with his head in his hands.*

She says, "You know what Alan? I could never have predicted this..."

He replies, "You thought that I was going to stay here forever?"

"... yes..."

"Well I need this, I need to get out of here and make it big... This is my only chance."

*She puts her hands around her shoulders and puts her head into her arms.*

*He stands up slowly and walks over to her at a steady pace.*

*Background music for the song starts up and light's dim on them.* - When it's in capitals, sing it longer

Alan:

"You new this was coming, You knew I would leave you. There's so many factors, You've known all ALONG...!

Darling, my sweetheart, I know that you are smart. You've seen it, you didn't want to BELIEVE...!"

Racheal:

"You can't go! You know so! I need you... I won't let you GO....!

You've made me so happy, I know this sounds sappy, but you must know, I'll miss you SO...!"

Alan

"I must go, you see so. This opportunity, just can't be IGNORED...!"

Still there's something inside me, that won't let me Leave..."

Both:

"As if things weren't bad ENOUGH, I THINK this is SO tough. You/I can't/must LEAVE."

Racheal:

"Please don't leave me."

Alan:

"Please just forget me."

Both:

"Why did it have to COME TO THIS...!?"

"Why, didn't we know we'd HAVE THIS TWIST...?"

*Racheal starts crying a little harder as she cowers away from him, trying to escape the sadness when he grabs her shoulder.*

Alan:

"Please don't GO."

"There's something you must KNOW,

and that is that I love you SO!"

*Racheal looks around at him but avoids making eye contact because she doesn't want him to see her tear streaked eyes, swollen, and vulnerable.*

Music Stops

Racheal:

"Why'd you have to tell me now?"

*She pushes his hand off her with the shoulder he grabbed and runs off leaving him in the dark and lonesome.*

This is a little dramatic... But hey, acting is imitation of life.

Dramatic, maybe, but sometimes reality can actually be that way. :S I should know, and I wish to God it hadn't been like that. Ah well, just glad life isn't always that vivid. Makes this the kind of piece that it is, with such sweeping emotions within.
