Eurydice

Eurydice

A Poem by Gigi
"

A peom I wrote in school, it's a little different from what I usually do.

"

Love is Kind, love is blind, Love was mine, lost my mind, oh what a time, it's ok... i'm fine. <3

Like the departure of Eurydice.

There was sadness between you and me.

Lives streched to be thin and weak.

So let me just kiss you on the cheek.

Time is equivalent to a dollar.

Spent quickly on love's collar.

Breezes come from far and wide.

Just more places for me to hide.

Don't underestimate the power I have.

Because it won't be easy for you to grab.

She moves like silk upon the skin.

Makes sense she always wins.

Her hair the color of fire.

She is the one we all desire.

Beautiful, deep connection to Orpheus and Eurydice. Such a sadness that hangs over your words like mist, in the longing for what was... So well done.
