Hazaaro khwaahishein ainsi...

It's something i wrote right after reading the Gazhal "Hazaaro khwaahishein ainsi" of Mirza Ghalib...for the very first time. It's the impact of the legendary piece on my heart that it poured out these lines =]

 

 

Hazaaro khwaahishein ainsi ki har khwhaahish pe dam nikley

Bahot nikley mere armaan lekin phir bhi kam nikley…

 

Teri tasveer ko dil se laga hum ro padey aksar

Tujhe maloom kya

Youn chashm-e-tar behkar bharam nikley

 

Badi muddat hui tujhko pukaare

Ab sabar na ho

Meri aawaaz sun le aaj.. aa

Ke abke hum nikley

 

Hazaaro khwaahishein ainsi…

 

Tujhe kaise dikhaate dil ka aaeena aye mere dost

Ye zaalim lafz bhi nikley

To aksar besharam nikley

 

Teri chaukhat pe youn aksar guzaari’ hain kayi raatein

Na maalum thha

Ye pat’thhar har sitam mein tujhse kam nikley

 

Ye teri dosti thhi, ishq hota toh bura hota

Ke iss zillat ko palko'n pe saja

Hum ba’sharam nikley

 

Jo hota ye gumaa' tu kya hai, to na ye dillagi hoti

Bahot hi deir se jaana

Tum kitne beraham nikley

This is in Hindi and Urdu so many writers will find it difficult to interpret; well I'll try to write a translated version of it and will put it here in the cafe soon. Sorry for inconvenience. Thanks.
