a bond is a bond

the bond between people doesnt form in a day

people may change but people dont break
theres always a strand of whatever weve done
left to pick up the pieces when everything goes wrong

a bond is stronger than steel
nothing will rip it apart
its everything we call love
a bond is formed when you connect at the heart

i may lose myself somewhere in this journey of life
but the people i love now ill love till im dead
though the bonds that weve made may only last by a thread

ill never forget you and ill never forget us
that what it means to have a bond made from trust

from distance and pain, love doesnt die
youll be able to see it no matter what
if you look through my eyes

we may change as individuals
and thats how life goes
but dont forget ill always be there for you
ill be there as you grow
even if my memory becomes all but a wisp
ill be there when youre complete
the bond that we made has no concept of defeat
