I tend to smile though my glare.
I don't want you to see my pain so I don't share.
It hurts me deep but I know you're there.
It warms my heart so I guess that's fair.

Awkward is as awkward does.
It has no reason just because.
It never is and never was.

I hate myself because I can.
I'm worthless. Shameless. I'm a man.
I felt scared but never ran.
I started off where I began.

Love is full of great desire.
It's something most won't acquire.
It burns hot like a wildfire.
But most give up because they tire.
