The Sun Rises

The Sun Rises

A Poem by devon

Salty foam tenderly kisses the

Golden sand shoreline,

A peck from the ocean’s lips

With each pulse of a new wave.

The Sun peeks out from

Behind the horizon,

Bashful, but ready to play.

She slowly and shyly begins to uncover.

And the morning sky is painted,

In shades of pink and blue,

Stretching from the edge of the water,

Just barely grazing the Heavens.

The ocean has come alive,

She sparkles wonderfully in the spotlight.

And when the Sun fully shines over the sea,

My, oh my, is she a beauty.

I see the sun rise all the time, but today I saw it rise on Tybee Island. It was absolutely beautiful.
