I’m sorry I don’t like people touching me.

Though, I’ve yet to realize if it’s

Because I’m afraid they’ll hurt me

Or let go.

 

I’m sorry I scare too easily.

I can’t quite figure out if it’s

Because of what people will do

Or what has already been done.

 

I’m sorry I can’t look you in the eye.

I ask myself if it’s

Because I’m scared of what I’ll see

Or what you will see inside.

 

I’m sorry I can’t trust you.

I don’t know, but maybe it’s

Because you have the ability to hurt me

Or someone has done it before.

 

I’m sorry I have to apologize for being me.

But I just wonder if it’s

Because you need an explanation

Or I need to find the answers.
