Where, Oh, Where Could My Balloon Be?

Where, Oh, Where Could My Balloon Be?

A Poem by devon

Release me.

Watch me float upward,

Into the sky.

Cut the string and let me be.

Release me.

Watch me rise

With marvelous speed--I never thought

It’d feel so good to be free.

Release me.

My candy color fades.

And you’re left wondering

Where, oh, where can I be?

It's simple and nothing fancy, but I like it. It seems almost... whimsical... to me.

Whimsical indeed and yet a beautiful flow to it. Reminds me of that classic film Red Balloon. Enough hot air from me.

I like the smoothness of the lines. They flow wonderfully off the tongue. It's a beautiful and serene piece. Wonderfully done!
