I Hate the Way You SpeakA Poem by devon
I always hated the way
Your poet lips would dance And from your lyric tongue you'd speak, "Where would Shakespeare be, my love, Without his tragedies?" And even worse I despised How after, your song voice composed A symphony as you laughed out, "Though, maybe Will wouldn't have Seemed so damn cold." More than anything, I loathed Your star eyes and how they shone As if you'd conquered the galaxy When I lacked the resistance Of asking how you felt About what Auden wrote.
