Songbird, With Love

Songbird, With Love

A Poem by devon

I kissed your skin

And heard something crawl

From your lips, down the wall

Between every crevice in my cheek

Giving my ears a playful peak

Of what I’d been waiting on whim

To hear. Your voice becomes a song

I’d like to hum, six-something A.M.,

As the sun spoons the world’s ledge:

“I’ve loved you all along”.

Been sick, and I've got little to do but read and write poems. I apologize if the title and/or poem doesn't make too much sense. When I get sick, I find my brain becomes a bit wishy-washy.

Hope you enjoy, anyhow!

xoxo

you are quite the poet...abstract to a degree, but some mighty good lines to chew on, to digest...always such a good ending with you.

"as the sun spoons the world's ledge" love that.

sounds like "i kissed you and then you told me you loved me...and i felt that within every crevasse of my body"

like columbus discovering the world...and that it wasn't flat...but there is much more to it...just like there is much more to us now that we feel such love...it's more than physical.

nice work

Hope you're feeling better Dev! :)
This was beautiful! I loved it! I feel like I read this at like the perfect time. Because I just finished one of the best series ever! Definitley on my all time favorite list! But It was so good, it made me cry towards the end, and then it put me in a lovey dovey mood, which is why I think this was the perfect timing.
Lovey dovey mood = Lovey dovey poem! :) haha anyways great job! and Hope you feel better, or will feel better soon! :)

I'll have to check it out!
A spoonful of sun, the imagery combines with surreal emotion, I like this!
