Lesser

Lesser

A Poem by Deanna

Sitting on your throne,
painted gold.
You're up there,
and I'm
way
way
down here.

I can beg you to look
but it takes you to see
so I just wait
and wait
and wait.

We locked eyes once
it was quick.
But the memories of us
rushed, exploded.
Then
gone,
gone,
gone.

I love this poem the format is awesome. It set me on an interesting train of thought! For me this poem is about the journey of someone seeking Truth and the desire for us to achieve existence. I think the last stanza is about remembering Reality and finding it hard to accept. But that's just me and I'm kinda weird...
