A Story by Delaney Thomas

I love the smell of a window screen in any weather; whether it be during a beautiful summer's night or a during a raging thunderstorm. It captures a mix of the air, the pollen, the dirt, and the dust. It brings everything in and fills the room with the lovely scents of the world. Without the window screen, there would be nothing to protect the rooms from all of the grime from outside. The windows bring in light and warmth but without the screen, there would be nothing separating the inside from the out. There's just something about the simple pleasures in life such as having a window screen and the wonderful scent that comes with it that makes living a little bit easier.
