Not So Endless Life

Not So Endless Life

A Poem by Delaney Thomas

Why are we even trying,
When we are just going to end up dying?
Everything we do will always end in strife,
But why is that the case in this seemingly endless life?
Is there nothing we can do,
Because our hope has died too?
There is nothing left to say,
Because I've already faded away.

"Why are we even trying,

I asked the above question at least once daily in my life. I learn we must find pleasure in nature, laughter and the family. Death will come. Better to fool death by trying to find one good thing to do daily. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry. I like the poetry that make us think.

Perfect!!
I love the grip on your rhythm. You have expressed so much through the words. Your feelings for the life are well poured into the depth of the words.
I adore this poem.

Keep up the good work!

I can feel the futility of it all in this poem. Once hope dies, what else is there? certainly gave me something to think about. A great write :)
