WaitingA Poem by Delaney Thomas
Waiting
And so I sat waiting Waiting for the monsters to come and take me away Waiting for my eyes to go black And all of my senses to shut down Waiting for the definite silence that comes With the eternal darkness And the knowledge that everything is gone Waiting for the feeling to leave my body And for the numbness to settle in Waiting for the monsters to say it's all over And I am gone Waiting for the end of everything And so I sat waiting © 2014 Delaney ThomasReviews
