A Poem by DeLisa

I have never been in love like this before
He sends me spinning, orbiting
On some type of cosmic journey
I used to think I was afraid of heights
But I don't wanna come down
Wouldn't even dream of it
This love has me soaring
Up
High
Beyond Cloud 9
His touch is like a million stars
Dancing, skittering
Across the surface of my skin
Sends shivers up, down
And back up my spine
His kiss sends me round and round
Like a never-ending dance
Around Jupiter's rings
Our bodies join in a blaze of heat
Reminiscent of diving head first
Into the surface of the sun
It's no coincidence that he came
Into my life at my darkest hour
And lit everything up like a full moon
On the clearest of nights
I once had a dream about a love
About a feeling
This is different though
I couldn't dream up a love like this
Couldn't imagine feeling this good
However
To my utter amazement
I don't even have to dream
Because I would much rather float around
In the solarsphere
Than close my eyes and have him there
Only in a dream
My heart rotates on his axis
My world revolves around him
I know one shouldn't question a blessing...
So I won't.
