life is about what we give moreso than what we get.....

Learning How to Live

Hope is something we hold on to

To help chase away our fear

And nothing of this world

Leads us away from there

Faith can move a mountain

If love is in its’ way

Faith is what moves with us

To leave fear no place to stay

And love does begin in life

From a gift that some would give

And as we go, hope would grow

So love becomes the way we live

And beauty comes from within us

Beauty reaches from the inside out

And darkness’d try to dim that light

As we are shadowed by our doubt

The world tries to take away

Or our lives to pass on by

And seldom is found happiness

Without some tears to cry

Somewhere in the balance

And God smiling too

As we reach to those around us

To do what we may do

Yet the world on our shoulders

If that is all we care

Would leave us down and lonely

Becomes hard this way, to share

Look to God from within

To fill your heart with love

And know when the world’d let you down

Keep looking to Him above

And care for yourself through it all

So you have the strength to give

Faith will grow and love will show
