Missing You

In this minute I’m missing you
And I’m just not so sure why
It had to hit me just like this
But tears fall from my eye
I know our love does carry me
But sometimes I feel so all alone
And I just wish upon a star
That you would just come home
It’s hard to hold you so far away
And I know our love does grow
But sometimes I’m just missing you
And I wanted you to know
It’s not always easy
And I know my love is true
But I can’t wait until it carries me
Back alongside of you
And one foot in front of another
I think of you each day
And even when I’m missing you
I’ll hit my knees and pray
And I’ll seek you in my heart
Where I know you’ve come to stay
And I know what I’m thinking now
It starts to become so clear
It’s me who feels so far away
But I know that You are here.
