Mine eyes wandered to the moon

As I looked into the sky

I couldn’t help but feel your love

Tears stream from my eyes

 

I wondered on the same old star

Do you wonder as I do

I’ve loved you for all my life

Loving the way you love me too

My child you are my world

And daddy’s sad without you

I remember when you’d lay to sleep

I’d pray the Lord your soul He keep

And cherish the love given to my world

I feel the moon, it calls to me

I watch time move across the night sky
