A Simple Wish

Part of the poem

 I walk around my world

Not going very far

It used to be I’d find myself

Always wanting more

The seasons of my love did change

And the love my heart does hold,

Bringing a bittersweet feeling

I see more as I grow old

My path has left me broken

From the path that I did take

So when I find myself empty, again

There’s only one choice left to make

 

So I will reach out for You

Broken, my heart will be

And I will reach out for You

And from the world, I’ll be set free

And I’ll call out to You

For again, I’m lost in my day

And I’ll thank You for the promise of Your love

And let Your  love light my way

 

And so I come before You

And I offer to you this man

I want only to see, You in me

As I long to understand

And my song I’m singing to You

Is all my love to give!

My simple wish to change my life

So I can begin to live

 

A humble new beginning

A walk that must transcend

So I start to crawl, before I fall

And I’m coming to an end….

That’s just a new beginning,

A new world will come in view

And I realize, I’m a bit more wise

Knowing my love for You
