A Moment in Time

 

There are things that stand out in life

That stop us on a dime I’d say

Sometimes we grow to cherish them

Till the world would take it away

 

God gave me a gift to share

When He gave my love to you

For a moment in time, when you were mine

I got to share the love I knew

 

Through the years we shared this feeling

Your love I learned to miss

And that moment in time became lost in mine

In the love from our first kiss

 

As I look back on my life

When a child was made of mine

Born to me an infinite love

Lasting forever in a moment of time

 

And I still see you beautiful

You’ve been a love to me

The time that passed, were love to last

In my lifetime I wouldn’t see

 

And its not that you are gone from my world

My love you just won’t see

For life has a way of shaping us

For the things that’ll come to be

 

We won’t share the feelings

And love won’t cease to be

Any moment in time, I make them mine

In love, cherished in my memory
