I Am Human

I Am Human

A Poem by Donald Cole
"

People affect the people that they are around, especially in the system of "justice" ...... I got too many words for here..... something to think about.....

"

The Criminal Justice System is not operated primarily for the benefit of victims, But for the benefit of society as a whole; Thus it is concerned not only with punishing the offender but rehabilitating him. (Wyomng Reporter) 37-42 P&D

*I AM HUMAN*

At any given moment, whatever I chose will become

the right choice for me. Not necessarily a good choice,

but right in that it will propel me through what I need

to go through to teach me what it is that I need to learn.

Mind you, I feed off of those around me and those around

me are forces that shape the choices I make now and

throughout my days. When those around me, limit me,

choke me, or try to suppress me or oppress me, and I

act accordingly. Whn those around me, stand beside me,

instead of above me, and offer me respect as an equal,

I am given hope, a belief in myself, a chance to be valued,

a hand up, and a hope for a better tomorrow, and that I can

be a part of it, enabling me to be a change agent for my own

success, not condemning me for being guilty of the same

thing that we are all guilty of........

...............BEING HUMAN----
