The Real You

The Real You

A Poem by Donald Cole
"

Ghosts from the past

"

Just a mortal man
All I’ll ever be
Though there’s something still inside
That says there’s more to me
At times I’ll lose direction
And then I go no where
Not sure where my path will lead
Not even sure I care
Some how or another
The message still comes through
Though you look so many places
You have the real you

This was nice man!
I can say that I've felt that way before and will
Again at some point I'm sure. Also, it's short enough where
It doesn't lose the readers attention, but still long enough to
Make your point. I think it was pretty good overall.
