For You (My Smile)

a reflection

 

I thought of you most all of my day

And wished to share my smile with you

The worlds we start to share in this little time

and wonder what this leads to

The little things you say to me

That tell me that I'm ok

And the smile that you have given me

That comes to make my day

I want to know your heart some more

For how you have affected me

And my little pieces of my heart

Open up for me to see

My heart has searched for one like you

As far as I can see

Though your world so far away

Hope says anything can be

Is it too much to dream this way

Would it be too much to bear

No. I think faith would carry me

To find a heart like yours to share

I ponder what your world has done

And of the hope you hold inside

And as I want more to see your smile

And the feelings on which your heart has relied

To bring you to this point in time

and to set your eyes on me

I think of you even more

And wonder what I'll see.
