It's You I Do Not Know

A poem about someone I haven't met yet

I'd given this a bit of thought

Of where I want to be

I try to follow these dreams of mine

Sometimes so hard to see

 

Every little win I've made

Just seems it isn't so

My world is lost without you

Yet you I do not know

 

I'd spread my wings and fly away

To leave3 this place behind

Yet still I feel the love I have

That can only be mine

I try to reach the world over

For I know that you are there

Yet what keeps my love at bay

Would be knowing how you care

I wish my world smaller now

For it seems you will not show

For I listen to your every word

Yet you I do not know

 

      I've found my peace within me now

      Even though you are not here

      My shoes walk on without me

      I'm walking through my fear

 

      Your world goes on without me

      I long to know your name

      My world continues without you

      And just won't be the same

 

 

 

For my eyes long for your beauty

My heart just wants to show

This love it holds for you inside

Yet, it's you, I do not know.
