Morning Mindfulness

Practicing together 
in this life and the next 
Community in silence 
or maybe studying some text 

Not looking to the future 
No concern over the past 
Mindfully aware
Cultivating wisdom, vast 

A mind as wide as sky
A heart to encompass the world
We're all in this together 
while through space we're being hurled

If we could all just see the need
for togetherness right now
We could breathe much more peacefully
Stop worrying about "how"

Just how our end will come
or which enemies at the gate
If we could learn to love each other
We can really change our fate
