Eulogy

Eulogy

A Poem by perfectlymetiKulous
"

A little something inspired by the pure GREATNESS of: Somewhere it is Midnight-Dawn Jones: The Demon Slayer!

"

To think of us as a we,
Would be to think of a past
Oh so deceased.
Of that love so dead to me,
I calmly share this eulogy.

Here lies she and me
-the we-
That no longer breathes.

She was amazing and loving
Brilliant teacher.
Kind and giving
Immaculate
But most wonderfully imperfect.
Childishly mature.
An up and comer,
Mover and shaker.
Full of hope that spilled from her
and into me.
She was mine;
I was hers.
How proud/fortunate/happy
I was to be
A ‘we’
With someone so special to me
as she.

All of a sudden,
Without any warning,
The world exploded
And my heart along with it.

She became a different person
With secretive ways and elusive thoughts.
We weren’t friends anymore.
And she didn’t give me much
When she used to give me her all.
Hopelessly deadlocked -
Where we danced before,
Brilliantly free, amongst the clouds;
We were now entangled
Uncomfortably
Regrettably
Falling into
The beginning of our end.
The end of our beginnings.
How sad, how devastatingly sad
To see our eternity, the promise of forever,
the ‘we’,
Turn into and end up being
Just me.

Here lies she and I,
-the we-
That didn’t survive.

Beautiful.

See, I am not the only one who has a depth of understanding when it comes to the broken heart. And I am not the only one who has a way with words. Elegant. Regretably beautiful. Exquisitly sad. She and I... the we that did not survive... the we that was never meant to be. Thank you. For saying things I have yet to be able to express due to the nearness of my pain.

This is awesome! :D It had a wonderful flow and a good amount of emotion. I liked how you used the oxymorons in the 3rd stanza. Creative. :)
Good job ^__^
