Ravish

Ravish

A Poem by Sanober

Before you think about
romancing me, my dear
you must first
 romance my poems
come,
meet the sparkling glint
in my poem’s eye

let your eyes drift over
the slow, pink heat
building
over my poem’s skin
run your fingers
through its dark curls
untangling meanings
take its hand
and wear it
upon your own
each syllable
each silence
each melody
each tremble

lean in to kiss
the places
where the ache is
the most special

then, with all the burning
tenderness
left in the universe
begin to,
undress my words.

dear Sanober... To know your poetry
is to know you. Your poems caress the moon.

"lean in to kiss

Seductive and elegantly sensual words, Sanober. The metaphor is splendid! Indeed, someone has to love your words to love you. By reading you, a person gets to know the way your mind works and feel your emotions. I hope you will find such a person! Wonderful work here. Lydi**
