What Can I SayA Poem by Sanober
My dear, what can i say, i have dreamed of watching volcanoes erupt with you, with our hands cupped over our hearts
of sharing serene silences like a kiss between souls laden with peach-blossoms and an occasional, precious stir of poetry
of drowning in silver dew, with you
of gazing over holy lands, breathing in fragrant soils
and leaning against you when the pain of amazement gets too much
of evenings and cups of tea shared like words fully absorbed
and now you've left me and gone
my mountains crumble to dust, silences scrape like bare branches
there is nothing to drown in but myself
no sights left to behold, only ashes to breathe in none but my own shadow, to fold into
my dear, i have nothing to say, my heart burns like the evening sky.
