Ghost

Ghost

A Poem by bryanie

Thrust out pale bone as I fall into you

The dancing shadows are a mask upon your face

From here, from you, I did not seek warmth

And yet from this tall tower I fall to the base

Liquid lust slides down into our hearts

Black as the nothing that is before my eyes

The hollow night has stolen our sight, our thoughts

Will we ever awaken or are we to be left to die?

In sleep we left each other stranded, where did we go?

You let go of my hand and now my door is locked

Some things are not written, despite our wish

Wake up and look ahead to see the gun is cocked
