lemon and honeyA Poem by sentimental~ galoreWell you can thank a good friend of mine for this one. men. You’ve given me a fever, a cold so ill That my soul needs lemon and honey to heal. You’ve intoxicated me with oil paints, Splattered heartache across my hands, So that even when I wash them in the rain Colorful bruises of love remain. Take it easy, an art technique quiz. Take my hand, an impulsive chance. But you’re weak, blind at taking risks. You’ve built a railroad between our canvases, Called it a white fence but every time I tried to cross the train crashed my limbs. Now I need lemon and honey to heal my wounds, Someone to spread ointment over my heart veins. © 2011 sentimental~ galoreAuthor's Note
