I will never regret

poem-story

As God began to open the gates
A young man stood there aware of his fate
An angel approached him and asked him why
Someone as young as he was had to die
Tears began to pour out from his eyes
As he dwelt in the memory of goodbye

I had to protect someone special

From death's bloody sickle

I did not wish for her pain or sorrow

So I couldn't help but act as the hero

A deed which costs me a high price

But worth it if i won't hear her cries

"Well, I guess you failed,"  the angel said

she must be sad for a loved one is dead

No, I don't think so was his reply

for the special man he loved did not die....

not really good at writing poetry, so maybe a poem/story could work...
