You bring out this part in me that's been hidden for quite some time
A little boy,
A King,
A poet..

If I could pick all the roses,
Pure and white
Petals to lay at your feet...
All the pleasure would be mine

To write a symphony
Conduct an orchestra
Sail a sea
Be my companion,
My subject; my muse

Allow me to love you,
Cherish and adore you

Allow me to be,
Your lover
Your friend
Your man;
Your husband.

Cherish and adore you" - I don't know what woman wouldn't want to hear that from any man. The sad part is, in the here and now, its something that you usually only hear in the movies and think nobody will ever say it to you. You have a talent for writing and I'm enjoying your poetry a lot! You put the words together well and it flows, the emotion is there and your creativity with metaphors is wonderful. Good piece here :)

lightly, if you ever get hitched, read this in your wedding day, or heck, read it as an engagement poem, just throw, 'your husband' at the end.. Lol
