Looking GlassA Poem by AmberLooking in the mirror I see The person I once was, That woman, I long to be. Your arms, wrapped around my waist, Holding me close. Who have I become? A stranger, in my own eyes And hidden deep inside, She waits, Afraid. Through the looking glass On the other side There She is… She’s trapped. Stuck in a place she can’t escape. From Wonderland She ran away But doesn’t know why. She couldn’t hold on, Her grip on reality, lost. Wake up, Wake up. It’s all a bad dream. You’re right here beside me, To chase the nightmares away And bring me back where I belong.

Writing is a preferable way to express what cannot always be explained. .. more..Writing
