MySpace W***e

MySpace W***e

A Poem by Reese Applewood
"

READ BEFORE YOU REVIEW. I don't consider the word 'w***e' a dirty word, but I've added a teen rating, just in case.

"

 Every morning
She'll wake up
To check her profile
And it has changed
With the message

"You're on 24/7,
Don't you understand
People aren't here for you all the time
If you don't post this onto 5 other profiles,
You'll be dead."

But she doesn't care
She thinks they're just mad
But they're her friends
Some of them aren't

The internet has broadened her sex life
She's had affairs with strangers
But she doesn't care anymore
It's now her life

"You're a dirty little MySpace w***e.
Don't you remember you've got friends
In real life?
Do you have any modesty?
What is it wherever you live, 5 in the morning?
Get a life, and go to bed."

She isn't shattered.
She isn't hurt
Her emotions are blank
She's still a little lightheaded from last night

She goes into the bathroom
Opens up the window
And before she knows it
She is gone

The next morning
There's a new message on her profile
From her old friend
With those two little words, that were so big
"I'm sorry."
