Rantings of a HermitA Poem by Dingo the Archwizard of all Time and Space...Yes
Sullenly I gaze into that metallic ocean
The studded marvels leave me pondering And I continue to marvel As I continue to converse Provocative, indeed; no more or no less Rather, a hopeless cause All cause for the onward push Timing is as crucial as anything It's all just an ironic game Over-simplified, we race Pushed into a preset current of rules Where success is open to damned interpretation Happiness Is that not the end goal? The justification varies I don't know much of it myself And so I look onward into that metallic ocean Whose glitters and fancies peak my little desires I see, I wish; I accept that which is All the same, I wish I knew that which was And if that which was was to give in return The mere motion, if anything was ever warranted Then I would know indefinitely The race has been won, or can be won Who can say? Alas, I can; you can; she can; they can In the end it is all meaningless In the end, we're tied back to the vaguest of all goals It is much desired-- Achievement is the true task I often wonder how many actually achieve How many of the pushpins attain I can say this much: This pushpin wants to achieve © 2011 Dingo the Archwizard of all Time and Space...Author's Note
