Poem of the Ample Woman

Poem of the Ample Woman

A Poem by David Trounce
"

A poem about the sadness that comes with being once beautiful, now alone and well over-fed.

"
Poem of the Ample Woman.

Agonic Beauty,
in a Moo Moo Dressed.
There's no miracle
can unburden her chest.

Slippery Fingers
from much chicken Fat.
She sits by the Window with her Tabby Cat.

Watches the Sunrise, waiting for Noon.
The Pies in the Oven
will be ready soon.

To read a finely written poem then laugh out loud at the end of it is like having one's cake and eating it. Mind you, if we all just sat and sat looking into space, would probably put on that weight to, hence, getting out of here!

Thanks for sharing, tis fun, plus, tis real words well put ..

Thanks Emma. Clearly it's a case of Joy by name and Joy by nature. I appreciate your feedback.

Someday I'll write about how the wife lost her moo moo. Great poem about trapped woman.
