![]() NatureA Poem by D. PesekFawn graze in a sleepy lea, As the sun begins a warm new day. Fog disappears, just like the moon, While birds sing their beautiful tune. The song quickly grows, catching like fire, Crickets join in to form nature's choir. But all of it stops with a sharp, booming roar, The animals have all, heard this sound before. With the speed of lightening, rain starts to fall, The brook overflows, in the heat of this squall. Faster and stronger, currents flow, Until day's end, when the sun stops its glow. Adam's ale flows straight to the sea, Where waves crash in, and fish swim free. A vast expanse of royal beauty, That stretches as far as the eye can see. Watching the earth, from the dark sky, Are stars, and the moon; night's watchful eye. Which has seen all, with careful stare, But tonight she watches Earth's snowy hair. Where bears are king, and Emperors lice, In the land of perpetual ice. A far cry from the land of the sand, Where even the cacti need to be fanned. The dust blows relentlessly, for water is rare, Though elsewhere the sky has plenty to spare. There, sun is blacked out from an umbrella of trees, That sway and rock in the warm rainy breeze. Humans have come, and one day they'll go, But nature endures, and her beauty will grow. © 2009 D. PesekAuthor's Note
