Deja Vu

Deja Vu

A Poem by D. Pesek

Sometimes I truly wonder,
If my mind is sinking under,
A sea of dark confusion,
Leaving nothing but illusion.

I know not the time,
I saw this place,
nor heard these sounds,
or kissed that face.

Nor why it is,
that this was lost,
like fallen leaves,
in winter's frost.

Sometimes I truly wonder.

Author's Note

D. Pesek
I wanted to express the feeling of deja vu without over-thinking it. So I gave myself just five minutes to write a poem. As it turns out, this took me just a hair over three. Enjoy.

I liked the second stanza the best. I always have to slow down to catch the true meaning of the line. Your writing is very mature. Good job

I love the flow of this poem; how short it is yet to the point. Bravo, good sir. Writing points for you.
