Not Human

Not Human

A Poem by David M. Marek
"

a snippet i found in one of my notebooks, not ready for prose, so--i call it a [poem]

"
When shadows grow taller and t a l l e r...
prostrate giants, arms like puppets
midgets or dwarfs or little people--on stilts
ALL legs and no body, no body can say.
Merging with samples of outer space
Greygreygrey black, all so that
you and I can sleep
in one big shadow
called
Simple Town.
