Ancient Ruins

Ancient Ruins

A Poem by David Keith
"

One of my Previously Published ones from my Conrad Brenner Days

"

Gods etched in stone,

Strike poses in Bas Relief,

on the smooth mossed sides,

Of palaces and temples,

lines and glyphs,

symbols of peoples,

mysteries and secrets,

lost to the flow of the waters of time,

Blowing sands,

and reaching jungle,

The forces of nature and life,

strive to tame the works of Men's hands.

Beautiful poem. I can imagine what our forefathers left for us. Good work 👍
