VividA Poem by D.G.LandgrebeReflections of a light show in Sydney.
Pillars and piers colonnade the circular quay
a collective of fine fanciful, families, friends and lovers congregate. Charming buskers flaunting their skills like young cubs, silent cries of whispering chatter from children ceases. Sydney's house of Opera changes its colour like the chameleon sitting there proudly surrounded by bustling boats and manly ferries. Congruent shapes inflating their sails above the harbour,a flower of colour, smothering ardent onlookers so snuggly knitted together exchanging lint from woollen jumpers... coats and beanies. We make the pilgrimage to convict rocks at the floor of the harbour bridge, where on the hour legions of whooshing fire balls launch into the sky. The night is mild for June. Raindrops pitter and patter on umbrellas sprung open with artistic flair, watercolour washes the translucent pavement like melancholy images on frosted glass.
