SeekingA Poem by David KwakuThe night shift I slumber upon my thoughts. In the darkness I lay staring into the mirror with the moonlight glow. Silence in the universe, silence did I lay awake. Waiting. Waiting for the dawn of my identity. Waiting for the knock of my name. Even though my eyes were partially slain into darkness, My heart forever did it remain awake. The creek of my chair transfers me to reality, The moon out of sight. Motionless the night remains, I cannot find answers in the realm of the mirror, darkness swallows its perception to reflect the remedy of my soul.
Waiting for the mistress of my mind to call upon the heart of my broken joy, And mend the soul of my love. So I may once again tender my thoughts with happiness. In the mist of my reverie was the quiet fact depicted onto my lips. I am a rose that wither into dust, the river that sinks and quiver I stumble down to my window through the dark passage, to seek the heavens, To find the profound reflection of my blueprint. © 2012 David KwakuFeatured Review
