Fear

Fear

A Poem by David Kwaku

Befall from me the thoughts that render’s a man’s shadow

Dark, opaque, it consumes my fear

A peel of my soul that cannot be contain

With a sense that burns the thrill of death

A pilgrim attracted to my density

Barren womb gives no breath to life

Least feeds me flames

Fear grieves in glory

As crow guards its nightmare that may cleave into dreams

Memories evermore so cold and black
