Conjugate Souls

Conjugate Souls

A Poem by David Kwaku

She blows me a kiss of a heavenly dream.
Her lips murmur the words I love you,
Through my body it goes, in my heart it shows.
The aftermath left me wondering,
Can something so real be an illusion only she can make me perceive.

Stall in time as her voice distance away.
Chasing trying to accumulate the matter that makes her physical,
But her voice is gone, I'm lost in her memories.
Looking through my soul trying to find her face, her name, her shape.
My pulse races, everything begins to define, everything but not anything.
Everything but her... No everything was her.

There's a sense of despair, a longing. Very emotional and heartfelt. I love it! Well done, friend!
