Do You Believe?

Do You Believe?

A Poem by Not here
"

I'm itching and really aching just to break you, just to smite you. Although, I won't have to fight you if you take this bargain plea, kneel down, and start to believe.

"
Rain beats the concrete,
you feet are soaked, sleet
covers the street,
meet your new training. Heat
and cold cannot cheat
you out of this sweet
feeling, you're a beast.
Welcome to the feast.
Go through hell. At least
you aren't yet deceased.
As long as you breathe,
you've got a goal to achieve,
couple tricks up your sleeve,
so don't be naive.
Watch all the work we've
put in, take a leave
of absence. Believe me.
The time is now ours,
and we're the new stars,
working hard for hours.
We've got the powers,
and you're the memoirs.
To me, it seems you've been deceived.
I'm the king here. Do you not believe?

This might be a dream for you,
but it ain't ever coming true.
Hopefully, you start to see
how this will end disastrously.
Up your hood and walk away.
I'm here to stay for many days.
I'll try not to laugh when you leave.
Either way, you'll soon believe.

Boxing mitts, take no more s**t.
With every split, we get faster. It's
a miracle fit.
And we'll never quit,
and we'll never sit.
This is our court, our ring, take your skit
and your flashy outfit
out of here.
There's no room for fear
when you're fighting against kings,
throwing your hat in the ring.
You think wearing all that bling
is gonna help you take a swing?
Hope you aren't placing any bet
'cause I'm not breaking any sweat
picking you apart like dead meat.
You belong out on the street,
fighting other dumb kids
flipping around their lids.
And as for me, God forbid,
I'm the reason you won't have grandkids.
Here's your final chance, please take it.
I'm itching and really aching
just to break you, just to smite you.
Although, I won't have to fight you
if you take this bargain plea,
kneel down, and start to believe.
This might be a dream for you,
but it ain't ever coming true.
Hopefully, you start to see
how this will end disastrously.
Up your hood and walk away.
I'm here to stay for many days.
I'll try not to laugh when you leave.
Either way, you'll soon believe.

'Cause me I'm bringing everything,
no holds barred, I'm here to sling.
Bring anything, bring everything,
'cause soon you gonna be worshipping.
I'm here to take your wing and snap.
Let's see how well you can flap
with your big, bright, flashy yap
when you're getting socked in the gap
you call a mouth. You're full of crap.
Let me just hand you a map
out of this town, out of this place,
leave quietly and save some face
'cause if you don't I'll send you out
on a hospital cart doing roundabouts.
I'll use you for my breakout,
and my blowout.
You should know how
poorly this will go if you stay.
Just leave and save your self, okay?
I don't want your family to have to grieve.
Do you now believe?

Unique in structure and direct in words
Something about the way it
is open and airy in the space that carries the eye
to the next lines.
Must we believe to achieve our goals?

I enjoyed the raw, directness and real words written in the poetry. Felt like a Jack London adventure into real life. Always a pleasure to read your words my friend.
