Losing Hope

Where have the days gone?

Why are the nights cold?

Tell me if I am

growing quickly old.

Why are there tears?

Why do they sting?

I find myself

missing everything.

Where were we lost?

Why did this split?

I saw no signs.

Have we lost it?

All I want to hear

is that you love me too.

God it hurts so bad.

Why do we do?

Take away the pain

with every single drink.

Numbing of the minds.

Never ever think.

Let me fall away,

but hold me close as well.

Hold my hand tightly

as we walk through hell.

What did you mean

when you said nothing at all?

You left me all alone.

What stick did I draw?

Does anyone deserve

to really feel this way?

Stare trouble in the face,

as disaster strikes today.

Nobody deserves

to really feel ashamed.

Disaster is a lion.

Fear is never tamed.

It's really not okay,

but also it's just fine.

Such an interesting life.

I just call it mine.
