WildernessA Poem by Not hereStrange thoughts come into my head when I am bored.
This road I've never walked;
This trail I've never strolled. Into hope I never bought; But my hand, I'll never fold. So here am I today, by myself but not alone. In this wilderness I'll stay, until the day I make my home. Sunshine up above, and the ground beneath my soles. But my soul will never love any as much as you who stole my heart from my chest, where it was beating so fine. But then you broke the best man you'll ever hope to find. And so here I am, out here in the wild. I haven't any plans or any real reason to smile. But I continue on, this pathway I will follow until my time has come and the sun rises o'er tomorrow.
